The Deer Creek Mercantile is a 6,000 sq. ft. store located in Deer Creek, Oklahoma USA!  The Deer Creek Mercantile was first established in 1899 in a wood structure building. By 1905, the Mercantile was looking to expand so they built the grand 6,000 sq. ft. brick store front in which you can come shop at to this day.  The Mercantile just went through an incredible restoration so it can live on for another 100+ years. We hope that you can come & check out our store. We carry a variety of goods from clothing to housewares, foods, gifts, & more. We can't wait to see you soon!

We are located on Main Street in downtown Deer Creek, OK.

Located in Northern Oklahoma near Blackwell & Medford.

From Wichita, KS: 
Approx. an hour drive. Take 1-35 south to exit 222 at Blackwell, OK.
From that exit take Highway 11 west approx. 10 miles. 

From Ponca City, OK:
Approx. a 35-40 minute drive northwest of Ponca City.

From Enid, OK:
We are approx. 45 minutes from Enid.
Located just approx. 14 miles east of Medford on highway 11.

*Rustic Roots - Lamont, Oklahoma (Approx. 6 miles from the Deer Creek)
Rustic Roots is a lot of fun for the kids!   It is a seasonal pumpkin patch that opens every fall.
Rustic Roots also has a summer event with a sunflower patch & occasional holiday events.  Rustic Roots is just a short drive from the Mercantile, a perfect fall road trip!

*Nardin Heritage Day - Nardin, Oklahoma (A 5 minute drive from Deer Creek)
Nardin Heritage Day is an event that happens just once a year. The next event will be on
Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 9:30am. Each year the friends of Nardin come together to make an excellent event to celebrate their heritage. Features a parade that is a must see. Each year, several antique vehicles & tractors, horses & children join in to make an exceptional parade at Nardin. Other events go on at Nardin such as blacksmith demonstrations, a tractor pull, & more! You can still drive through Nardin all year to see the little buildings of Nardin Heritage Day but the event happens once a year.

*The Great Salt Plains National State Park - Jet, Oklahoma (Approx. 40 minutes from Deer Creek)
Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of salt leftover from an ocean that covered Oklahoma in prehistoric times, and the saltwater lake in the park, Great Salt Plains Lake, is about half as salty as the ocean. Bicycle, fish, swim, canoe, & kayak! You can also dig for crystals.

*Kaw Lake & Ponca City Lake are about a 40-50 minute drive from Deer Creek & perfect for boaters & fisherman.  Ponca City Lake has a nice beach area for swimming & a playground for the littles.

*Little Sahara State Park - Waynoka, OK (Approx. 1.5 hours from Deer Creek)
The Little Sahara is the  place for ATV riders. Little Sahara contains sand dunes that are anywhere from 25ft-75ft high.
