Hello friends,  We have a great update.  As many of you know we had to tear about 30 ft.  of the exterior south side wall down because it was crumbling. I'm happy to share that we made progress. Most of the wall is built back!   The picture shows the before & the now.  The top picture is what we started with (the tear down process) & the bottom picture is where we are now.  A huge difference, a step in the right direction! Hello friends, Progress is being made on the original Deer Creek Mercantile building. We are rebuilding a portion of the exterior wall from the basement to the 2nd story.  We are happy to say that the basement portion of the wall is complete!  We just have to build the main floor & second story wall now. Hello friends, Time flies & we did not make our goal to be open in the original store by Christmas. That's okay though. The restoration job is a lot of work!  Rebuilding the exterior wall is what we have been working on & it is a major undertaking.  Great things take time & that is so true. Once we get finished with restoration, it will be so worth it in the end.   Our goal is to be open now in March or April but we still have a long road ahead of us. Here's hoping we can reach that...

Progress is slow but steady as we continue to work on restoring our 1905 Deer Creek Mercantile building!  Here's a peek into one of our entrances. It will sure look a lot more pretty once we get the windows back in!   While we won't be open in this large store before Christmas, we are quite positive that we will be finished with restoration early 2022. We are hoping to be open by the first of February in the large storefront. We will finish out 2021 in our small store.  As usual, we are just open on certain dates until we get moved.  The dates below...

UNCOVERING HISTORY: As many of you already know we are restoring the original home to Deer Creek Mercantile.  This store was built in 1905 & it's over 5,000 square feet. We are so excited to be restoring it. We still have a long way to go but everyday more progress being made! A little bit of paint goes a long way...  Looking better already!
